Brisbane is (Finally) Getting a Betty's Burgers!

May 30, 2017

"Grab a crispy chicken burger, a serve of french fries and a chocolate thick shake and you’ll probably be back within the week."

No longer will us Brisbanites have to trek up to Noosa or down to Surfer’s to get our Betty’s Burgers fix. The royal family of the burger realm has finally arrived in Westfield Chermside’s new dining precinct and we welcome them with open arms.

After launching in 2014 in Noosa’s Hastings Street, Betty’s Burgers soon became a local favourite where you’d be more than happy to wait in line to take your lip-smacking meal to the beach. The burgers spoke for themselves, and soon enough Betty’s Burgers was opening across the Gold Coast, Toowoomba and most recently in Melbourne.

What customers across the country have fallen in love with is their short, punchy menu of six no-fuss burgers, three classic sides and their signature ‘concrete’ dessert. What’s concrete you ask? It’s a rich and creamy custard ice cream, either chocolate or vanilla, with some truly delectable combinations of toppings. You can choose one of Betty’s recipes (doesn’t spiced pecan and banana cream pudding sound good?) or you can get crafty with your own combo of mix-ins. Things like Krispy Kreme doughnut, cookie dough and Persian fairy floss are all on the table.

Founders David Hales, Nik Rollison and Head Chef Michael Tripp have worked hard to bring a beachy, laid-back feel to their restaurants, where their old-school take on burgers is the focus. Over the past three years, their efforts have seen them perfect their menu and their easy-going service model. The result? Thousands upon thousands of well-fed and blissed-out customers.

Betty’s Burgers Brisbane is opening in Westfield Chermside’s brand new dining precinct on the 22nd of June this year, so we’d suggest getting in quick before the word officially spreads. As for our picks of where to start on the menu? Grab a crispy chicken burger, a serve of french fries and a chocolate thick shake and you’ll probably be back within the week.
