Cocktail Round Up from the Best New Bars in Brisbane
July 17, 2017
There’s nothing like a cheeky cocktail to celebrate a win at work or a catch up with friends. And with so many recent additions to the Northside’s dining offerings, we’re pretty spoilt for choice!
To help you narrow down the options and find the perfect TGIF treat, here’s a cocktail round up from the best new bars in Brisbane.
The folk at The Bavarian are passionate about beverages, and they’ve even gone as far as to pair each of their meals with beers (courtesy of a handy colour coded guide on their menu). They offer up a huge selection of craft beers, ciders, wines, schnapps, vodka highballs and cocktails. Our recommendation? The Schumacher cocktail. Much like the food served at The Bavarian, the Schumacher is a German-inspired affair with spiced rum, butterscotch schnapps, Jägermeister, cinnamon, egg white, lemon and bitters. It’s sehr gut.
The Tapworks crew has mastered all of the classic cocktails, so if you’re craving a Cosmopolitan or a Long Island Iced Tea, you know where to go! Our pick of their cocktail menu is the Gin Fizz, a perfectly refreshing combo of gin, elderflower liqueur, cucumber and sparkling wine. And an insider tip – all of their cocktails are only $12 on Thirsty Thursdays.
The Sporting Globe
The Sporting Globe serve up quite a few creative cocktails, like mango margaritas and vanilla berry brambles. But our absolute favourite is the salted caramel espresso martini. This cocktail combines vodka, crème de café liquor, Kahlua, salted caramel syrup and the finishing touch – freshly brewed espresso. This delectable cocktail is sweet enough to have as a standalone dessert.
Ordering alcoholic beverages at Daniel Ridgeway’s newest restaurant, BiN 931 is truly a unique experience. You’re handed an iPad by one of BiN 931’s experienced wait staff, where your drink options are presented to you in an interactive process. Each of their drinks have tasting notes, and you can see pictures of their cocktails before you purchase them. So when you order a Friday afternoon drink at BiN 931, you know you’re ordering one suited to your individual tastes and preferences.
Hermosa has plenty of authentic Spanish beers and wines on their menu, but you can’t go past their signature sangria. Choose from a number of varieties of enormous sangria jugs with delicious fruit paired with robust wine. But make sure you have a friend or two to help you finish off one of these flavoursome treats. And don’t forget to order some tapas as well!
