Celebrate Chinese New Year at Landmark Yum Cha Brisbane
February 8, 2018
"Our favourites? The shanghai dumplings and BBQ pork buns – they’re addictively good."
Chinese New Year is less than a week away and we’ve got plenty to look forward to. From Chinese banquets at Landmark Yum Cha to lion dancers and a pretty spectacular fireworks display, the schedule at North Eats is looking jam packed with fun.
Start Your Night with Fireworks
If you’re planning on making a booking at Landmark or any of the other restaurants on level 2 of our dining precinct, make sure you get a seat near a window! We’re putting on two stunning fireworks shows on Thursday, February 15th at 7pm and 9pm. If yum cha isn’t your thing, Bootlegger, Casa Cibo and Kinn + Derm are amongst the other restaurants that will have stellar views of the pyrotechnics.
Or How About Some Live Entertainment?
We’ll also be celebrating the Chinese New Year with a spectacular show by traditional lion dancers. They’ll be working their way through the entire centre at 11am, 2pm, 6pm and 8pm. So make sure you’ve got a good vantage point at one of those times.
And in true North Eats fashion, we’ve organised plenty of other exciting entertainment to keep the night going. From 5pm through to 9pm you’ll see everything from fire twirlers through to stilt walkers. We want this to be a night to remember for all our lovely visitors!
Feast on the Best Yum Cha Brisbane Offers
Landmark has been the King of yum cha in Brisbane since 1995 when it first opened in Sunnybank. But what used to be a massive drive across town has opened right on our doorstep in Chermside. The traditional yum cha served at Landmark Chermside focuses on small portions of authentic Chinese dishes served in bamboo steamers, called dim sum. Our favourites? The shanghai dumplings and BBQ pork buns – they’re addictively good.
Bring the Whole Family for a Banquet
To celebrate 2018’s Chinese New Year, Landmark are offering some incredible banquets for groups of 4-6, 8-10 and 10-12 people. The banquets include exotic Chinese dishes like steamed live pearl abalone with XO sauce, shark fin soup with seafood and shrimp lotus leaf rice. With at least ten dishes on each banquet menu, this is the perfect way to organise a great night for big families.
